Creating Private Lessons
Set up one-on-one or small group sessions with flexible booking options.
Private lessons are great for one-on-one sessions or small group coaching. You can create them just like your regular classes - with a few extra options depending on how you plan to offer them.
Step 1: Decide How You’ll Offer Private Lessons
You can choose to manage private lessons in a few ways, depending on how your studio runs them:
-
Block of Private Lessons (e.g., 4 or 8 sessions):
Best set up as regular classes within a Season/Term, where students enroll for a set block of lessons and are billed according to that season’s pricing. -
Individual Private Sessions (booked one at a time):
Best set up as Drop-in Classes,so families can book specific dates instead of enrolling for the full season.
Step 2: Creating Private Classes
You can create private lessons using the same process as other classes in Class Manager:
-
For private lessons that run as part of the season, follow the steps in Creating a Class.
-
For one-off private sessions, follow the steps in Creating Drop-in Classes.
When setting up your private classes, you can choose either of these approaches:
-
Create a separate season for your private lesson sessions - great if you’d like to keep them completely separate from your regular classes.
-
Add them to your existing season - this works well if the billing will follow your regular setup (for example, charging monthly or per lesson).
Managing Your Private Classes
Once created, you can manage your private classes just like any other - update schedules, assign teachers, view attendance, and manage payments all from your Class Manager account.
That’s it!
With your private lessons set up, you’re ready to offer a more personalised learning experience to your students. 🎵✨
Whether you’re managing recurring one-on-one sessions or flexible drop-ins, Class Manager makes it easy to keep everything organised in one place.
