# Exporting Accounting Information

## Format and export your accounting information for Xero, QuickBooks, or spreadsheets

Class Manager allows you to export your accounting information in a format that can be used with **Xero, QuickBooks, or spreadsheets**. You can choose the date range for the information you want to export.

### Create an Accounting Export

1. Go to `Billing` from the left-hand menu.
2. Select `Billing and Payments`.
3. Click `Export`.
4. Select `Accounting Export` from the dropdown.
5. Choose the **date range** you want to export.
6. Select the format you want to use: 
     - **Xero**
     - **QuickBooks**
     - **Spreadsheet**
7. Click `Export`.

Your download will begin shortly.

### Using the Export with Your Accounting Software

When importing the export into your accounting software for the first time, you can map the columns to the appropriate fields.

The export includes payment and accounting information such as the payment reference and other transaction details needed for your accounting records.

You can also open the spreadsheet export to review the information or work with it directly in spreadsheet software.
