# Filtering Students and Families

## Use filters to quickly find specific students and families

You can use filters in the Students section and Families section to narrow down your list and find specific records.

### Filter Families

1. Go to `Members` **→** `Families`.
2. Click `Filter`.
3. Choose the filters you want to apply: 
     - **Account access:** Invited, Not invited, or Active (in the Family portal)
     - **Joined after:** Show families who joined after a specific date
     - **Joined before:** Show families who joined before a specific date
     - **Show only archived items**
4. Apply the filters to view matching families.

### Filter Students

1. Go to `Members` **→** `Students`.
2. Click `Filter`.
3. Choose the filters you want to apply: 
     - **Minimum age**
     - **Maximum age**
     - **Gender**
     - **Show only archived items**
4. Apply the filters to view matching students.

You can adjust or remove the filters to change the results.
