# Managing Access to Student Medical Information

## Control who can view sensitive student medical information in Class Manager.

Student medical information is considered **sensitive data**, so it’s hidden by default to protect privacy.

### Who Can See Medical Information

- **By default:** Only the account **owner** can view a student’s medical information.
- **Other staff members:** Can be granted access if needed.

### How to Give Staff Access

To allow a staff member to view sensitive medical information:

1. Go to `Company` → `Staff` in your Class Manager account.
2. Click the **••• menu** next to the staff member you want to update.
3. Select `Edit`.
4. Turn on the `Can view sensitive data` toggle.

Once enabled, the staff member will be able to **show or hide medical information** on the Student Details page as needed.

📝  Important Notes

- Medical information **cannot be exported** from student lists or reports. This ensures compliance with data protection laws.
- Staff access can be turned off at any time by toggling the same option off.

This makes it easy to control who can see sensitive information while keeping student records secure.
