# Managing Locations and Spaces

## Create and manage the locations and rooms where your classes take place

Locations help you organise where your classes are held. You can also add rooms within a location to specify the exact space where a class takes place.

You can manage your locations and rooms from Settings, or create a new location while setting up a class.

### Creating a Location

You can create a location from the **Locations** page or directly while creating a class.

#### From Settings

1. Go to `Settings` from the left-hand menu.
2. Under **Company**, select `Locations`.
3. Click `Create location`.
4. Enter the location details.
5. Under **Spaces**, enter the name of the room or space where classes are held.
6. Click `Save` to add the space.
7. If the location has multiple rooms or spaces, click `Create another` and repeat the process.
8. Once you've added all the rooms or spaces you need, click `Create` to finish setting up the location.

The location and its rooms or spaces will now be available when setting up classes.

#### While Creating a Class

When creating a class, you can create a new location directly from the class creation form without leaving the page.

Select the option to create a new location when choosing where the class will take place, then enter the required location details and save it.

The new location will then be available to use for the class.

### Editing or Managing Locations

You can return to `Settings` **→** `Locations` at any time to manage your existing locations and rooms.

From here, you can update your location or room details and manage the rooms associated with each location.

Locations and rooms can be selected when setting up classes, helping families and staff know where classes take place.
