# Managing Notification Settings (Family Portal)

## Choose how you'd like to receive notifications about your bookings, trials, and chats.

The Family Portal lets you choose how you'd like to receive notifications from your school.

Depending on the notification type, notifications can be sent by **email**, **in the app**, or both.

### View Your Notifications

When you receive an app notification, it will appear in the **Notifications** panel.

To view your notifications:

1. Click the **bell** icon to view your recent notifications.

📝 If you have access to multiple accounts, opening a notification for a different account will prompt you to switch before viewing it.

### Manage Your Notification Settings

1. Click your **profile picture or avatar** in the upper-right corner.
2. Select `Notification Settings`.
3. Use the toggle beside each notification to turn it on or off where available.

You can configure the following notifications:

| Notification | Description | Available via |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Attendance Reminders** | Receive an attendance reminder at the start of each lesson you teach. | App |
| **Bookings summary** | Receive a daily summary at 6:00 PM of all bookings made in the last 24 hours. | Email and App |
| **Trial reminder** | Get notified when a new trial booking is made in one of your classes. | Email and App |
| **New chat** | Receive a notification when you receive a new message in Chats. | App |

📝 **Booking confirmations, custom/bulk order confirmations, and trial reminders are sent by email by default. Email notifications for these cannot be turned off.** You can still choose whether to receive app notifications where available.

That's It!

Your notification preferences are saved automatically. You can return to **Notification Settings** at any time to update your preferences.
