Sending a Broadcast Chat

Broadcasts let you send one message to multiple families at the same time.

Each family receives the message as a private conversation with your organisation.

Send a Broadcast

You can create a broadcast from the Communication section or directly while viewing a season or class. 

From the Communication section 

1. On the left menu, select Communication
2. Click Chats
3. Select Create...
4. Select New broadcast
5. Enter broadcast name
6. You can Add by student, Add by lesson, Add by class, and Add by season
7. Once you've added the recipients, you can exclude someone by clicking the X next to their name. If you'd like to include them again, simply click the + button.
8. Click Save
9. Write your message and press Send to broadcast

From a season

1. Go to Class Planner on the left menu
2. Select the season
3. Click the Broadcast (megaphone) icon.

From a class

1. Go to Class Planner
2. Select the season.
3. Select the class.
4. Click the Broadcast (megaphone) icon.

You'll be taken directly to the broadcast message screen with the season or class already selected as the recipient group.

How Replies Work

If a family replies to a broadcast:

• Their reply is only visible to your organisation.
• The reply appears in that family's individual chat.
• Other families who received the broadcast cannot see the reply.

Additional Features

Broadcasts also support:

• Image attachments.
• Emoji reactions.
• Scheduled messages.
• Pinning conversations.
• Deleting conversations.
