Setting Up Trial Classes

Allow families to register for trial classes through the Family Portal and configure trial settings

Trial classes allow prospective students to try a class before enrolling.

Setting up a trial class follows the same process as creating a regular class. The main difference is enabling trial registrations through the Family Portal.

Step 1: Create or Edit a Class

Create a class as normal, or edit an existing class.

For detailed instructions, see:
👉 Creating Classes

Step 2: Enable Trial Registrations

When creating or editing the class, enable:

Trials

Family Portal trial registration
Let your members sign up to trial this class through the Family Portal.

Once enabled, families will be able to register for a trial of that class through the portal.

Save the class when you're finished.

Step 3: Configure Trial Settings

  1. Go to Class PlannerTrials
  2. Click Trial Settings

From here, you can configure the settings that apply to all trial classes.

Set a Trial Price

Enter the amount you want to charge for trials.

  • Enter 0 if trials should be free
  • Enter a price if you want families to pay when booking a trial

📝 The trial price applies to all trial classes.

Limit Trial Capacity

If you'd like to limit the number of trial students who can attend each class:

  1. Enable Limit trial capacity
  2. Enter the maximum number of trial students allowed per class

This limit applies only to trial students and helps prevent classes from becoming overcrowded.

     3. Once you've configured your trial settings, click Save.

Your classes are now ready to accept trial registrations through the Family Portal.

📝 If a class is full, trials cannot be booked.

With trial registrations enabled, families can easily book trial classes online while you maintain control over pricing and available trial spaces.
