Setting Up Trial Classes
Allow families to register for trial classes through the Family Portal and configure trial settings
Trial classes allow prospective students to try a class before enrolling.
Setting up a trial class follows the same process as creating a regular class. The main difference is enabling trial registrations through the Family Portal.
Step 1: Configure Trial Settings
- Go to
Settingson the left menu - Click
Trial Settings
From here, you can configure the settings that apply to trial classes.
Set a Trial Price
You have two options:
Same price for all classes- One price applied to every class.Set price per class- Define a trial price for each class individually.
Enter the default price you want to charge for trials.
- Enter 0 if trials should be free
- Enter a price if you want families to pay when booking a trial
Limit Trial Capacity
If you'd like to limit the number of trial students who can attend each class:
- Enable Limit trial capacity
- Select whether you want:
Same capacity for all classes- One trial capacity limit applied across every class.Set capacity per class- Define a different trial capacity for each class individually.
- Enter the default maximum number of trial students allowed per class
This limit applies only to trial students and helps prevent classes from becoming overcrowded.
4. Once you've configured your trial settings, click Save.
Step 2: Create or Edit a Class
Create a class as normal, or edit an existing class.

Step 3: Enable Trial Registrations
When creating or editing the class, enable:
Trials
Family Portal trial registration
Let your members sign up to trial this class through the Family Portal.
Once enabled, families will be able to register for a trial of that class through the portal.
If you've chosen to set the trial price and trial capacity per class, simply enter the values for that class.
- Leave the Price field blank to use the default trial price.
- Leave the Capacity field blank to use the default trial capacity.
- Enter 0 for Capacity to allow unlimited trial bookings.
- Enter 0 for Price to make the trial free.
Click Create to finish setting up the class.
Your classes are now ready to accept trial registrations through the Family Portal.
📝 If a class is full, trials cannot be booked.
With trial registrations enabled, families can easily book trial classes online while you maintain control over pricing and available trial spaces.
